India, Aug. 9 -- Spectrum Mobile users in South Carolina and North Carolina are reporting widespread issues with calls and text messages, with many customers saying they are unable to make calls or send texts.

According to outage-tracking website Downdetector, reports of service disruptions began coming in around 4:15 p.m. EDT on Saturday.

By 4:25 p.m., Downdetector had received more than 2,000 reports, with most customers reporting issues with calling services.

Customers in South Carolina and North Carolina reported experiencing service disruptions. Users in several other states, including Florida, Ohio, Maine, Wyoming and Alabama, also reported issues.

One user wrote, "Burlington, NC - can't call out or answer incoming calls."
