ROHTAK, Sept. 23 -- Hisar police have arrested a woman on Tuesday from Gohana, Sonepat in connection with a case involving a newborn allegedly being abandoned in bushes in the Rishi Nagar area, officials said.

The accused has been identified as Geeta Rani, wife of Bhushan Kumar, a resident of Sonepat. Police said she was allegedly running a clinic under the name Krishna Clinic on Baroda Road and had allegedly supplied medicines for abortion to a young woman and her partner.

The case was registered at the City Hisar police station after police received information on July 8, 2026, about a newborn lying in bushes in the Rishi Nagar area. A police team reached the spot and took the newborn into its care before providing the necessary medic...
