ROHTAK, Aug. 22 -- A sub-inspector (SI) posted at Kharkhoda police station in Sonepat district allegedly jumped from the roof of the police station and sustained injuries while trying to evade an Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) raid on Thursday night.

The officer, identified as Hariprakash, was allegedly accepting a bribe through a tea stall owner operating opposite the police station.

ACB DSP Rahul Dev said the incident took place on Thursday night, when the ACB team first caught the tea stall owner, identified as Rakesh, red-handed while allegedly accepting Rs.8,000 in bribe money. During questioning, it emerged that the money was allegedly being collected at the behest of the SI.
