Barmer/Jaisalmer, March 17 -- Six camels, were killed in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer district after being hit by the Lilan Express train near Shri Bhadariya-Lathi railway station early on Monday, police said. According to the police, the incident occurred around 1 am, when the herd of camels was crossing the railway track near Lathi railway station. "At the same time, the Lilan Express, which was travelling from Jaisalmer towards Pokaran, was approaching the railway station. Hearing the loud sound of the train, the camels panicked, leading to the tragic accident. The camels died on the spot and their bodies were cleared from the spot," said railway jamadar Rewantaram Choudhary.
