India, June 7 -- Former India batter Sanjay Manjrekar didn't mince his words, saying Shubman Gill had better credentials than Shreyas Iyer to become India's next T20I captain. His comment came shortly after the 31-year-old was confirmed as the next skipper by Ajit Agarkar on Saturday. The chairman of selectors confirmed Shreyas' name in the team for the matches against Ireland and England, as Suryakumar Yadav, the T20 World Cup-winning captain, was shown the door owing to his poor form.
