New Delhi, March 21 -- Union home minister Amit Shah will introduce The Central Armed Police Forces (General Administration) Bill, 2026 on Monday to "regulate rules of recruitment and conditions of service", according to a Lok Sabha bulletin. This follows a May 2025 order of the Supreme Court directing the government to "progressively reduce" the deputation of IPS officers (possibly within two years) in CAPFs.P13
