Shah meet on action against drugs next week

New Delhi, Sept. 19 -- Union home minister Amit Shah is set to meet with police chiefs and heads of all anti narcotics units across the country for two days next week for a review of the action plan on the government's war against drugs, officials aware of the matter said. The meeting is the 3rd National Conference of Heads of Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of States/UTs in New Delhi. "The meetings are being held in physical and online mode on September 22 and 23. The sessions have participants from different states, who will update on the challenges and the road ahead..." an official said. A second official said there is also a session on stopping the smuggling of drugs in the North East states.HTC
