New Delhi, March 29 -- A Delhi court on Saturday granted bail to Kashmiri separatist leader Shabir Ahmed Shah in a money laundering case, paving the way for his release from prison. The order passed by Special Judge Prashant Sharma of Patiala House Courts stated that the Supreme Court had already granted Shah bail on March 12 in the predicate offence of terror funding being investigated by the NIA. The court observed that Shah's bail granted by the top court was a material fact in his favour. Special Judge Sharma said that "once an accused has not been arrested by the investigating agency, he or she is bound to be granted bail on being summoned."
