India, Aug. 5 -- A senior global Meta executive on Wednesday apologised over the removal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's video from Facebook briefly last month, sources in the ministry of electronics and information technology (MeitY) said on Wednesday.

This came hours after a Parliamentary panel gave Meta chief Mark Zuckerberg three days to apologise for the removal of PM Modi's video and threatened to withdraw immunity if it was not done, a move that may lead to prosecution and registration of an First Information Report (FIR).
