VARANASI, June 5 -- The second BRICS Culture Working Group Meet began in Varanasi on Thursday, opening with a ceremonial lamp lighting.

During the sessions, representatives deliberated on cultural priorities identified by India, including the creative economy, protection of cultural heritage and culture-led sustainable development. Delegations from India, Brazil, China, South Africa, the UAE, Indonesia and Iran attended in person, while representatives from Russia, Ethiopia and Egypt participated in online mode.
