sc grants bail to ex-ias officer in c'garh dmf case
New Delhi, May 19 -- The Supreme Court on Monday granted bail to former IAS officer Anil Tuteja in the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) scam probed by the Chhattisgarh government and directed the former bureaucrat to remain outside the state during the period of his release.
Tuteja, who is facing probe in multiple criminal cases, including the Chhattisgarh liquor scam, coal allocation scam, Mahadev betting app case among others, the court noted that he has been incarcerated in these cases for over two years. In the present case, Tuteja was arrested in February and the state informed that 86 witnesses are sought to be examined during the trial. He was arrested in the DMF case on February 23.
