SC asks UP govt on action taken in fatal Gr Noida bus fire
India, Oct. 2 -- New Delhi
The Supreme Court has sought an affidavit from the Uttar Pradesh government on the action taken against the driver and registered owner of the sleeper bus, in which a fire broke out on the Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida, killing nine passengers on the intervening night of September 23 and 24. The court specifically sought to know whether those responsible had been arrested and whether the bus had complied with all safety and regulatory requirements.
