New Delhi, Aug. 18 -- The Supreme Court on Monday asked the Centre to clarify if the cap on compensation in case of a nuclear tragedy under the Sustainable Harnessing and Advancement of Nuclear Energy for Transforming India (SHANTI) Act 2025 will prevent constitutional courts from fixing higher amounts as part of "fair and just" compensation.
