India, Sept. 20 -- The Sanford Police Department has confirmed that six people were shot on Poplar Avenue and Ninth Street, according to WFTV9. Two of those shot are in critical condition.

According to Sanford Police PIO Officer Nicole Brown, the shooting took place at a social gathering Saturday evening, September 19. Brown told the outlet that she is unsure if there was one or multiple shooters. However, she did confirm that this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.
