Salim Dola to be in ncb custody till May 8: COURT
MUMBAi, May 1 -- A metropolitan court in Mumbai on Thursday remanded Salim Ismail Dola, an international drug trafficker and a close aide of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim, to the custody of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) until May 8 in connection with a June 2023 drug seizure case.
This comes after Dola was brought to India from Turkiye on April 28 following Indian authorities securing his custody.
The probe agency told the court that Dola had supplied around 40kg of mephedrone (MD), a synthetic stimulant, every month, to one of the accused arrested in the case, Faisal Shaikh, who distributed the contraband to peddlers.
