Bhopal, Sept. 22 -- A controversy erupted after Madhya Pradesh minister Kailash Vijayvargiya made a body shaming remark alluding to a party corporator during a public event in Indore.
During a speech at the event, Vijayvargiya was seen laughing after making the statement, however it triggered sharp criticism.
The Congress accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of insulting a woman public representative and demanded a public apology, calling the remark "shameful body shaming". BJP state co-media in-charge Alok Dubey denied the accusation and said, "Vijayvargiya mentioned the councillor's weight gain with fatherly affection.
