India, Aug. 11 -- Rocky Flintoff has spent the formative years of his career negotiating a surname that carries enormous weight in English cricket. On Tuesday, the 18-year-old added a significant achievement of his own, smashing his maiden senior century for Lancashire during their One-Day Cup encounter against Somerset at Taunton.

The son of former England captain and talismanic all-rounder Andrew Flintoff, Rocky hammered 123 from only 76 deliveries as Lancashire amassed 443 for six from their 50 overs. He reached three figures in 65 balls, completing his first century in recognised senior cricket after previously registering hundreds for Lancashire's Second XI, England Under-19s and the England Lions.
