ROHTAK, Aug. 22 -- Two youths were killed and another injured after a violent attack near Gokalpur village close to Indira Gandhi University, Meerpur, in Rewari district on Friday.

The deceased have been identified as Jatin, 22, of Mandya village, and Himesh, 20, of Niganiawas. Their friend Yashpal 21, a resident of Budhana village, was seriously injured and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

The police suspect the incident is the fallout of an ongoing rivalry between two student groups.
