India, March 30 -- Health care, in its most meaningful sense, is not defined by the sophistication of machines or the scale of infrastructure, but by the ease with which a patient can reach timely and appropriate care. Across many parts of India, particularly in smaller cities, the challenge has never been the complete absence of treatment, but the persistent distance-geographical, financial and psychological-between patients and the care they require. This distance often becomes most visible in moments of crisis, when families are compelled to travel to larger metropolitan centres, losing precious time that could determine outcomes.
