India, March 11 -- The stock of Reliance Industries Ltd. surged to the highest in a little more than a month after US President Donald Trump highlighted the role of India's largest company in building an upcoming oil refinery in Brownsville, Texas.

Reliance Industries' share price rose as much as 1.75% to Rs.1,433.65 apiece within the first 15 minutes of trading today even as the benchmark NSE Nifty 50 fell up to 0.10%. That's the highest since at least early February 2026.

"I am proud to announce that America First Refining is opening the FIRST new US Oil Refinery in 50 YEARS in Brownsville, Texas," Trump said Tuesday in a post on Truth Social.
