Rajasthan govt revises blood donation guidelines, raises government share to 50%
Jaipur, July 31 -- The Rajasthan government has revised the guidelines governing voluntary blood donation camps, directing government blood centres to collect 50% of blood units at donation camps across the state instead of the earlier 20%.
The medical and health department issued a circular on Friday notifying the revised guidelines.
Principal secretary of medical and health departement Gayatri Rathore said that the new arrangement would reduce the need for blood replacement donations while improving the overall availability of blood across Rajasthan.
