Jaipur, Sept. 9 -- A 42-year-old tourist guide at the Amer Fort in Rajasthan, who was stabbed multiple times by a jeep driver and his associate on Monday after an altercation near the fort, died during treatment on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Manish Soni. Police said news of his death triggered a shutdown staged by local guides and traders at the Amer Market, spurring heavy deployment of forces to keep law and order. Amer station house officer Rajendra Godara said the incident took place near Maotha Lake.
