Punjab police, bSF bust cross-border module, recover heroin, Rs.21L cash
AMRITSAR, March 23 -- In a joint operation with the Border Security Force, the Punjab Police's Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) busted a cross-border smuggling module with the arrest of three people and recovered 24.5 kg heroin and Rs.21.5 lakh cash from them, Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav said on Sunday.
Those arrested have been identified as Jagjit Singh alias Rana, a resident of village Noorwal in Amritsar, Manpreet Singh alias Preet, a resident of village Aulakh Khurd in Amritsar and Roshan Singh, a resident of village Dhupsari in Amritsar.
