Punjab forest dept reshuffles 23 senior IFS, PFS officers
Chandigarh, Aug. 23 -- The state government has ordered the immediate reshuffle of 23 Indian Forest Service (IFS) and Punjab Forest Service (PFS) officers within the department of forests and wildlife preservation.
Under the orders issued on August 21, IFS officer Saurabh Gupta, currently CEO of the Punjab Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (Pun-CAMPA) and chief project director for the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), takes over as chief wildlife warden, while retaining additional charge of the JICA project.
Outgoing chief wildlife warden Basanta Raj Kumar, IFS, has been posted as managing director of the Punjab State Forest Development Corporation Limited.
