Patiala, Oct. 9 -- Farm fires in Punjab crossed the 100-mark on Thursday since the tracking period began on September 15, according to latest data from the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), also published by Punjab Pollution Control Board. This tally is eight more than the 95 incidents recorded during the corresponding period last year. The latest data from the CAQM, updated on Wednesday, show that, with the addition of 15 new stubble-burning cases, the total number of farm fires reported in the state under the ISRO protocol had reached 103.
