Bathinda/ Ferozepur, Aug. 13 -- Punjab director general of police Gaurav Yadav on Wednesday inaugurated the renovated state-of-the-art integrated command and control centre of the Bathinda police.

Built at Rs.2.75 crore, the upgraded facility integrates 112 emergency response, city-wide CCTV surveillance with 282 cameras at 59 strategic locations, wireless connectivity, video analytics, and real-time crime-monitoring data.

The DGP said that the new centre would strengthen the police's technical capability in Bathinda and serve as a force multiplier.

Yadav was in Bathinda to review preparations for the upcoming Independence Day, with senior officials from the Bathinda police range in attendance.
