PUNE, July 9 -- A three-storey administrative building of a private company at the Moshi garbage depot in Pimpri Chinchwad collapsed after a huge mound of legacy waste crashed onto it following heavy rainfall on Wednesday, officials said. Eleven people had been rescued by night, while 12 others were still feared trapped beneath the debris, they said. The incident occurred around 1.30pm when employees were having lunch inside the building. Five employees managed to escape while six others were pulled out during a rescue operation involving the Army, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Border Security Force (BSF), PCMC Fire Brigade and police, officials said.
