Protests over paper leak continue in several states
New Delhi, July 25 -- Student-led protests, called by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) demanding the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET paper leak, were reported from several cities on Friday amid heavy police deployment, snapping of internet connections and school-shutdowns.
Placard-wielding students and citizens gathered at important intersections in cities like Nagpur, Kolkata and Haldwani, demanding the minister's resignation and a complete overhaul of the education system.
No violence was reported from any of the demonstrations.
