BENGALURU, July 6 -- The political row over the ongoing revision of electoral rolls in Karnataka has escalated with the Congress government rejecting allegations that it is influencing the process and the BJP and JD(S) accusing the administration of departing from Election Commission procedures. Chief minister DK Shivakumar dismissed the Opposition's allegations on Sunday, saying the Congress government had nothing to gain from manipulating the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), which began across the state on June 30.
