PRAYAGRAJ, March 13 -- The Allahabad high court on Thursday ordered police protection to man who apprehended that his property in Bareilly could be demolished over performing namaz in his house. In a petition filed his behalf, Haseen Khan claimed that some police officers restrained him from performing namaz at his house in Bareilly's Mohammad Ganj village and threatened with demolition of his house. He also alleged that police officers forced him to sign some blank papers as well. A division bench comprising justices Atul Sreedharan and Siddharth Nandan ordered that two armed guards be deployed around the clock to ensure the petitioner's safety.
