India, Aug. 13 -- Hyderabad A 26-year-old police constable was found dead in the restroom of a police station at L B Nagar in Hyderabad in the early hours of Wednesday, the police said, adding that prima facie, it appeared to be a death by suicide, even as his family members suspected foul play.

The body of the constable was found hanging in the rest room of the L B Nagar assistant commissioner of police (ACP) office at around 2.30 am. The constable had been attached to the office for e-COPS duty and was working on night shifts.

"The other police personnel who noticed him immediately shifted him to nearby Kamineni Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival," a senior police official of the L B Nagar police station.
