RANCHI, Aug. 14 -- The court of Additional Judicial Commissioner-IV-cum-Special Judge, POCSO Act, in the city presided over by Judge Birendra Kumar Srivastava, sentenced a man to death for the brutal sexual assault and murder of a seven-year-old girl.

A civil court advocate close to the matter said convict Nesar Ansari (alias Neshar Ansari), aged 32, was found guilty under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
