India, Aug. 22 -- The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has issued guidelines for this year's Ganeshotsav and Navratri celebrations, directing organisers to follow rules on permissions, traffic, noise pollution, fire safety and the use of public spaces.

As per the advisory, Ganeshotsav will be held from September 14 to 24, and the PMC has urged mandals and citizens to ensure that celebrations do not inconvenience residents or obstruct traffic.

The advisory, issued by municipal commissioner Naval Kishore Ram, emphasises that celebrations must protect public safety, maintain traffic flow and minimise inconvenience to residents.
