PMC defends JE exam; politicians allege recruitment process compromised
India, Aug. 30 -- The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has defended its junior engineer (civil), class 3 recruitment examination, saying its probe found no evidence of a pre-exam question paper leak, even as an FIR was registered against three candidates and two examination-centre employees for alleged malpractice.
The civic body said the review, conducted with Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) and supported by TCS and Ernst & Young, found the irregularity was limited to three candidates, whose candidature has been cancelled. The two venue employees allegedly involved have been removed from deployment.
