PM Modi lands in Uzbekistan on two-nation visit, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives him
India, Aug. 29 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Uzbekistan on Saturday, kicking off the first leg of his two-nation visit. After he landed in Uzbekistan's capital, Tashkent, PM Modi was accorded a warm welcome on his arrival at the airport by Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The two leaders were seen sharing a hug and handshake after PM Modi's arrival. The Prime Minister is expected to hold delegation-level talks with Uzbek President Mirziyoyev during the visit.
In his departure statement, PM Modisaid the India-Uzbekistan Strategic Partnership had witnessed significant advancement in recent years.
