Chandigarh, July 16 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab is planning to amend the controversial anti-sacrilege law amid pressure from the Sikh clergy and panthic bodies, people aware of the details said on Wednesday.
The development comes after Akal Takht jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj issued a one-month ultimatum to the Punjab government on June 29 to remove "objectionable clauses" from the legislation.P13
