India, Oct. 30 -- The Madras High Court on Friday sought responses to a petition seeking an investigation into the nationality and background of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) co-Saurav Das. The plea also seeks a block on his social media accounts over remarks allegedly made against the judiciary.

A division bench of Chief Justice SA Dharmadhikari and Justice G Arul Murugan issued notice to Das, the Central government and other respondents, reports in the Bar and Bench and Live Law said.

The petition, filed by Ganesh Kumar, identifies Das as "Yogesh Sharma alias Saurav Das" and alleges he made derogatory statements against the judiciary, including Supreme Court judges.
