Pension for persons with disabilities to be hiked again soon, says Adityanath
GORAKHPUR, Sept. 30 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday announced that the pension amount for persons with disabilities would be increased again soon and directed officials to establish district disability rehabilitation centres (DDRCs) across all 18 divisions of Uttar Pradesh.
"Earlier, persons with disabilities used to get a pension of Rs.300. The government first increased it to Rs.500 and then to Rs.1,000. It will be increased again in the coming days," Adityanath said, without specifying the revised amount.
