Pay rRs.r6 lakh compensation to family of boy killed in pothole accident: Bhimale
India, Aug. 23 -- The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) should immediately pay Rs.6 lakh compensation to the family of the 10-year-old boy who died after a two-wheeler skidded on a pothole on the Sus-Mhalunge Road, standing committee chairman Shrinath Bhimale said on Sunday.
A boy was killed after a truck allegedly rammed into the motorcycle on which he was travelling with his father and sister on a narrow, pothole-riddled road on August 17.
Bhimale urged municipal commissioner Naval Kishor Ram to implement the Bombay High Court's October 13, 2025 order on compensation for deaths caused by potholes and open drains.
