India, Oct. 30 -- Actor Patrick Stewart has died at 86 on Wednesday at his Los Angeles home, in the "loving care of his beloved wife Sunny," as per a statement shared on Instagram. The "Star Trek" and "X-Men" star was surrounded by family and friends in his final moments.

His death came after a "brief and poignant journey with Alzheimer's Disease and Lewy Body Dementia," the statement said.

His wife, Sunny Ozell, last posted on Instagram in late 2024 with him.

Ozell's last post on Instagram was on December 9, 2024. It had pictures of the couple at an exhibition in Los Angeles. The caption read: "Gettin our Getty on! Man oh man, the Lumen exhibition was REMARKABLE. Thank you @brykeene for recommending.I would have been gutted to miss it...
