India, Sept. 1 -- BIDAR A case has been registered against two officials at Savanur Taluk Hospital in Haveri district after two patients were allegedly made to remove human waste from an overflowing sewage pit on the hospital premises, police said on Monday.

The FIR, registered at Savanur police station, names administrative officer Dr Shankar Hiregowda and senior nursing officer Vanitha, police said, adding that the charges include Section 125 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Sections 5, 7, 8 and 9 of the Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Act, 2013.
