Ranchi, Feb. 25 -- When he opened his small hotel in Jharkhand's Satbarwa hamlet in Latehar district after years of painstaking effort, Sanjay Kumar Sahu, 41, must have felt that his luck was about to turn for the better.
That was not to be.
A short-circuit fire ripped through the hotel on February 16, leaving Sahu with 63% burn injuries as he desperately tried to save essential materials and equipment from the flames.
He was initially rushed to Dev Kamal Hospital in Ranchi but as his condition continued to deteriorate, his family grew desperate to provide him with the best possible care, eventually deciding to shift him to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi.
