India, June 30 -- Kerala chief minister VD Satheesan on Monday wrote to his West Bengal counterpart Suvendu Adhikari, seeking his intervention in the alleged stalling of former The Telegraph editor R Rajagopal's passport renewal. Rajagopal's request for renewal of his passport has reportedly been held up due to an "adverse report" from Kolkata Police following the deletion of his name from the electoral rolls under the Special Intensive Revision. The CM said Rajagopal "is a renowned journalist who has been based in Kolkata for the past three decades. "I would like to request your good self to kindly look into the matter urgently," Satheesan told Adhikari in the letter.htc
