new delhi, Aug. 7 -- Parliament advanced two key pieces of financial legislation on Thursday, with the Lok Sabha passing the Taxation and Other Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026, to fine-tune the country's tax and payments architecture, and the Rajya Sabha returning the Appropriation (No. 3) Bill, 2026 to the lower house after approving it, completing the legislative process for authorising additional government expenditure for 2025-26.
