BENGALURU, April 7 -- Karnataka home minister G Parameshwara on Monday said population alone should not determine the redrawing of assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies, warning that such an approach could disadvantage states that have stabilised population growth.
Speaking to reporters, he pointed to Karnataka's likely share in a future delimitation exercise, suggesting the state could end up with fewer Lok Sabha seats compared to northern states where population growth has been higher.
