Panchkula, Aug. 14 -- Two helpers were killed after a hydraulic crane toppled while lifting a generator to the terrace of a four-storey building in Industrial Area Phase 2, Panchkula, around 3.30 pm on Thursday.

According to information, the victims were sitting atop the generator. On reaching the third floor, the weight balance was lost, causing the crane to overturn and throw both men to the ground along with the generator.

The deceased were identified as Naveen, a native of Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh, and Manish, from Gopalganj district in Bihar. Both were aged around 22 to 23 years.

They had suffered injuries to their head after falling onto the concrete road and died on the spot.
