India, April 3 -- US President Donald Trump has fired Attorney General Pam Bondi in a move that has sparked reactions across the political spectrum.

Trump confirmed the decision in a Truth Social post, praising Bondi as a "Great American Patriot" who did a "tremendous job" during her tenure. He also announced that Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche would take over as interim Attorney General, describing him as a "very talented and respected Legal Mind."

Bondi is expected to transition to a private sector role after assisting with the handover.
