Over 700 left jobless as Pune IT firm shuts down abruptly, CEO arrested after employees raise alarm
India, June 4 -- Over 700 employees and interns of a private IT firm in IT hub of Hinjewadi in Maharashtra's Pune were left without jobs, with no salaries and benefits, after the organisation abruptly shut down. Based on a complaint filed by the staff, Harshal Thakare, the CEO of Noida-based Thynk Tech India OPC Pvt Ltd, was reportedly arrested.
Thakare was also the company's Head of Training and Development, and apart from him, an HR manager is also under police scanner. The CEO's arrest came after a complaint by a 25-year-old intern, and about 30 others also spoke against the firm.
