India, Aug. 29 -- The Delhi-NCR region woke up to heavy rain on Friday morning, which further intensified later. An orange alert has been issued by the India Meteorological Department for several parts of Delhi-NCR today.
There was earlier a yellow warning for Gautam Buddha Nagar in Noida, and Ghaziabad, but was later elevated to an orange alert.
Waterlogging was witnessed in parts of Delhi this morning amid heavy rain. Visuals from Sangam Vihar Neem Chowk Road showed vehicles wading through waterlogged roads.
An orange alert is in place is on for South West Delhi, Central Delhi, Shahadra and South Delhi. While there was earlier no alert for other parts of the national capital, there is now a yellow warning for those places.
