Now, Chandigarh MC assures to clear remaining waste from Dadumajra site by Nov 15
Chandigarh, Oct. 10 -- The municipal corporation (MC) has assured the Punjab and Haryana high court (HC) that it would make all efforts to process and dispose of the mixed waste lying at the Dadumajra dumping site by November 15.
The civic body also asserted that no unprocessed waste is being dumped outside Chandigarh or at other locations within the city.
The assurance was given during the resumed hearing of a public interest litigation (PIL) filed by advocate Amit Sharma highlighting the poor disposal of legacy waste at the site.
